EXTRANJERA tells the story of Estefanía "Epa" Urriga, an artist and teacher, who watches her life crumble when her father is suddenly investigated over corruption charges. To escape the scandal, she flees to Taiwan under the guise of seeking answers from her estranged mother, but instead chooses distractions in new friendships, wild nights, and unexpected passions. When the reality back home catches up to her, Epa must finally confront her mother, who berates her for skirting responsibility, and demands she take a stand. Epa realizes she must choose: keep running or take responsibility for her story.
